GRANDPARENTS DAY click to help celebrate

The idea for Grandparents Day started with Marian McQuade, a homemaker from West Virginia.  She was an advocate for the elderly in nursing homes when she noted that many (up to 60%) never had a visitor.  President Jimmy Carter signed the proclamation for the holiday in 1978.  Grandparents Day will be celebrated on September 7 in 2008.

The purpose of the holiday is to celebrate America's elderly by providing care and compassion.  Please consider making a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one.  Or join us in the Forget-Me-Not program to remember the residents of the homes we serve.  Please click on our link above.

Save the Date - October 2nd

Audrey's Angels' Soaring with Angels Dinner and Auction will be held October 2 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa, 2400 E. Missouri, Phoenix.  Cocktails and silent auction begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and a live auction.  To donate in-kind items, or to make reservations please call 602-795-2122.  Tickets are $150 per person.  Sponsorships are also available.  Proceeds benefit Audrey's Angels, founded in 2001 to enrich the lives of the elderly through interactive entertainment.

Our 5th Annual Golf Tournament

held April 6, 2008

Thank you to the supporters of the first of our two major fundraising events of 2008.  Our Golf Tournament was held on April 6, at the Hillcrest Golf Club. There were 76 golfers at the event.  First Tee of Phoenix provided 6 youth foursomes.  Their involvement lets our non-golfing supporters sponsor a youth team for our event.
