Audrey's Angels Receives Generous Grant!

30-Jun-2014

Audrey's Angels was so fortunate to be one of the recipients of a $2,500 grant from the From The Heart Committee in Glendale on Monday, June 26th. We joined a number of deserving agencies and Mayor Weiers at a presentation ceremony at the Glendale Adult Center. Executive Director Linda Alderson represented Audrey's Angels for this event. Again, we are so fortunate for this generous gift. This grant money will help us fund the free programming we bring to the Glendale Assisted Living Homes and Day
Enrichment Centers that we serve! From The Heart is a non-profit campaign that benefits those in need and the agencies that serve them through donations from residents through their city water bills. To learn more about From The Heart-Glendale, click this link.

Founders

Audrey's Angels was founded in 2001 by Audrey Bortner Alderson and her husband Dr. Robert Alderson. We began by serving nine homes with the help of five Music and Craft Angels and have grown to serving over 100 homes and adult day care centers with the help of 75 Music and Craft Angels. Our mission for the program is to enrich the lives of the elderly by bringing affordable interactive entertainment into small residential adult care homes and adult day care centers.

With the help of community support, our program can evoke a wide range of positive physical and emotional responses from this ever growing elderly population.
